If every time you print, your printer pauses and gives an error -300, there may be a simple fix.

This was happening with my Cannon MX-700 printer and the solution they offered was to reinstall the printer drivers with the following method.

Go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Printer & Fax.
Remove all the drivers,
Reinstall the printer driver to the Printer and Fax setup.

I was finally able to print on the next print command.
This has been found to fix other printers as well.
