Macmaps.com is a directory of over 1000 internet links organized alphabetically by subject.
In addition it has numerous help pages for the Macintosh computing platform, and slideshows of recent voyages I took. Regular updates will resume in a few more days!
Quoted site descriptions quote the words of either their webmaster, or the person contacted to have the site listed.
This site will attempt to verify the accuracy of all descriptions within as much as is possible.
Similarly boldface remarks about a site's character are only true as of the last time tested. Web browser comments only pertain to Macintosh platform, if you aren't using the Macintosh computing platform, feel free to test the webpage on your platform and sign guestbook with comments as to what other incompatibilities may exist

New as of:
June 19, 2010: Page is current. New links are being added as time permits. Parallel Mac Search page dropped. The search engines that made it up no longer are compatible with frames based searching.
December 1, 2008: Due to conditions beyond my control, my 14 topic pages no longer work because they updated me to PHP 5.2.6. If anyone knows how to fix this issue, please e-mail me.
November 7, 2007: At this point I won't be taking new links for this site for the forseeable future.
Please check this page for updates. I'll happily entertain technical support inquiries.
September 28: Verified all links on main topic pages are now current. Please E-mail webmaster if you have further updates or changes
January 29, 2007: This website is now updated regularly with Filemaker Pro.
March 31, 2006 - January 28, 2007: This website was on hiatus with only updates being made to the Mac support pages.
September 8, 2005: Moved the website to Midphase hosting
September 29, 2004: Search engine has now moved to Master.com
May 22, 2003: Upgraded guestbook.
May 2: Moved website to new host, Internet Connection.net
July 22, 2002: New website structure, most links that used to end .html will now end with .php.
March 30: New Guestbook added
March 4: Index-site.com and Macmaps.com are the same domain
January 19: Changed the background color to the website pages

September 18, 2001: Site was down while CAIS.net backbone was under repair.
February 3: Moved frames page to starting page, with new menus to each topic page. Select "no frames", or "frames off" on any page if you don't like this setup.
October 27: Link of the week at Computer User.
June 10: Removed number of links per page on the index pages, and kept them in the frame and primary homepage document.
April 22: Added number of links on each page, next to where each page is referenced.
This was arrived by searching for all cases of <A HREF="http in the source.
It does not include telnet, gopher or ftp links, or any of the links on the supplementary pages that aren't part of the main index.

January 31: Closed http://www.ameritel.net/lusers/abrody account.
January 26: Moved Unix to Supplementary and alternative operating systems page, and added numerous links in operating systems other than Unix
January 16: Added Atomz.com's search engine to all pages
January 9: All links verified and new links referenced on top of their topic pages.
December 31, 1999: Redesigned web page to add blue outline to each of the 14 index pages
Added date stamps to all pages recently changed
July 24: Moved all pages to new domain name: macmaps.com
Watch the date in the index (last updated Sep 18, 2011 ) page next to the category of the page to see if there was a recent addition to that page.
The original Ameritel.net, Bayserve.net, Worldweb.net, Acilink.org, Digex.net, Addis.net mirrors of this site are no longer updated. If you find them through an internet search engine, please inform the webmaster of that site of my current location here at macmaps.com.
